SKU:CARD-7STEP
Read any ECG with confidence — one step at a time.
A two-sided pocket card that breaks ECG interpretation into a clear, repeatable 7-step method, from rate and rhythm through to ST segments and T waves. Built for clinicians learning to read ECGs systematically rather than guessing.
What's on the card
Front — the full 7-step interpretation method:
- Heart rate, with normal ranges (60–100 bpm) and tachycardia/bradycardia thresholds
- Rhythm analysis — regular, irregular, regularly and irregularly irregular
- Axis — normal, left, right and extreme
- P waves and PR interval (normal 120–200 ms), including P–QRS relationship and morphology
- QRS complex and QT interval, with normal durations and QTc ranges
- ST segment — isoelectric baseline, elevation, depression and ischaemia
- T waves — normal shape, inversion and increased amplitude
Reverse — common ECG abnormalities and their diagnostic clues:
- Bradycardia, prolonged and short PR, narrow and broad QRS, prolonged QTc
- Associations including heart block, bundle branch blocks, electrolyte imbalance, drug effects, pre-excitation (WPW, LGL) and myocardial infarction
- T wave patterns — peaked, inverted, biphasic, hyperacute, flattened and camel-hump — with likely causes
